This wedding day has been a LONG time coming! Anthea & Ashley have been together for years, and the family and friends have been waiting for this day to celebrate their commitment to each other in the most official way possible – by putting a ring on it!
They got ready at their family homes – which I always find quite special as it gives me such a great idea of these two individuals who come together on this day. The I-do’s were said in their Catholic church, St Anne’s in Steenberg, which was beautiful in all it’s glorious splendor – it fit the opulent theme of the wedding day perfectly.

The reception was held at Zevenwacht Wine Estate, and it was my first time at this venue! I was blown away by how stunning it was, a little hidden gem in our winelands! The venue feels very cosy and comfortable and just perfect for a winter wedding. I couldn’t have imagined a lovelier day for Anthea and Ashley to commit to each other, and I feel so lucky that I was a part of this wedding day with two wonderful people that I consider myself blessed to have met. Anthea is the kind of person who??checks up on you and makes sure you’ve eaten enough and encourages you to stay for dessert (malva pudding… YUM!) even after your time at the wedding has finished. They are both such lovely people who care very much about all those around them, and the cheers and laughs throughout the day are a testament to that!
