TELLING STORIES OF

LOVE

Charlene & JP | Joostenberg Deli and Bistro | Wedding

Things never go according to plan 100% on a wedding day. Charlene and JP???s day started off with pouring rain, which led to the ceremony being held on??the sheltered terrace. I think this added intimacy to an already very intimate wedding. With around 30 guests in total, this was a quiet, private affair that spoke volumes about Charlene and JP???s priorities for the day. Charlene said to me before the wedding ???I just want to get married to JP. After that, anything else can happen!???

I convinced them to do a first look, since JP was walking Charlene down the aisle ??? a gesture I absolutely loved ??? he would be seeing her before the ceremony anyway. I loved his expression and I would LOVE to do another first look again! (hint, hint future brides!)

I loved photographing their wedding day, as it was so relaxed and didn???t even resemble work for me. In between the snacks, we snuck off to do some couple photos and after the cake was eaten and the guests had left, we finished off with a few more couple photos. Joostenberg is such a lovely space for photographs and I had a lot of fun working in the gardens and in the nursery.

Charlene is actually a beauty blogger (one of my absolutely favourite topics!) and if you go and check out her blog:??GEE WHISKERS!??you will find some insightful posts about her wedding! (how rarely do we hear the bride???s perspective after the wedding?)

Thank you to??KELLY??for assisting!
