When Ehren messaged me to ask whether I could photograph a surprise proposal, I said YES PLEASE! These make me so nervous and excited and emotional – it’s such a special moment! 

Ehren really went all out and teamed up with Jordan Wine Estate to plan the proposal in their wine cellar. After a “tour” of the cellars, they were led into this little room where I was “hiding” (let’s be real, there isn’t much space to hide here!) and SURPRISE! A huge sign that says “Marry Me”, flowers and champagne! 

Aretha didn’t hesitate and immediately said yes, put the ring on her finger and stood admiring it for a good minute. After the initial shock and excitement wore off, we popped outside to get some photos in the gorgeous greenery of Jordan Wine Estate, but the surprises weren’t over yet!

Aretha thought her family had gone back home, but they were instead just around the corner waiting to surprise her to have lunch with them both after a very successful proposal. 

All in all, it was a thrilling day and I would love to do it again. So please invite me to all your proposals, okay?
