Lauren and Grant had just the most wonderful celebration at Barrique Restaurant at Vredenheim in February! Grant lives in Italy, so in order to put together this wedding, Lauren had to do some seriously hard work! Thankfully they had the help of their friends (some of whom I’ve photographed before, you may spot them in some guest photos 😉 ) And may I just say that they pulled this wedding off fabulously! Lauren got ready at her family home, and totally nailed these bridal portraits! I had quite a bit of time with her so I could style the portraits to perfection and Lauren was so effortlessly beautiful it made my job so easy!

They held the ceremony in the garden, and it was so special for Lauren’s uncle to walk her down the aisle. Garden ceremonies are some of my favourite, and I find myself really enjoying the freedom of movement to capture it all. The massive oak trees and manor house played a part in the beauty of the ceremony, and really set the scene for the nuptials.

We did Lauren & Grant’s couple photos in the gardens at Barrique, and had such fun dodging miggies and giggling together. They were so at ease with each other and it was so easy to see them together forever – a true fairytale couple.

The reception held lots of great and funny stories about both parties, as well as some really touching moments. The decor was put together so wonderfully it was so easy to photograph every little bit. I loved the monogrammed wooden favours for the guests, and mine is currently gracing my desk! The night ended off with the fun garter and bouquet toss and everybody wanting to get up and dance!

I loved this wedding and I am so fortune to meet such wonderful souls in my job. Lauren and Grant – may this just be the first of many celebrations you share! <3
