Melissa & Ruan got married at the very end of winter, just a mere day before we officially stepped into Spring.

Their wedding left me on a high and definitely set the tone as the first wedding of the new 2019/20 wedding season.
We started the day off at Christchurch, Kenilworth for the ceremony, and moved onto Pampoenkraal in Durbanville for the couple photos and the reception.
I have photographed a bunch of weddings at Christchurch, and it’s starting to feel like a second home come wedding season. Pampoenkraal was a new adventure for me and very pretty with a beautiful rustic, foresty feel. It fit perfectly with Melissa & Ruan’s wedding day, who are both people that are down to Earth and warm and inviting.

The day would not be complete without hilarious speeches and a rocking dance floor – both were accomplished during the cozy, fire-lit reception.
