I have photographed a wedding at Stellenrust before, so I was so happy when Tami told me that they had chosen it as their wedding venue! Along with the details of the day, the venue was perfectly classical to suit Tami and Jody’s personal touch.

Arriving at The Protea Hotel, Stellenbosch, to meet with Tami and photograph her details was so great. The rooms are so beautiful and I found it so easy to shoot the accessories and the bridal portraits. Tami’s dress was breathtaking – I loved the beaded sleeves and the ruching on the front of the gown – these little things just add so??many beautiful elements to draw the eye in! I could’ve kept Tami there for hours while I did her portraits! The bridesmaid’s dresses were so unique! I loved that they were matching skirts with different tops – and that perfect robin’s egg blue was amazing in photos! (see for yourself!)

The ceremony was so touching – the message was beautiful and I could tell that it was very personal for both Tami and Jody. The setting of the gardens at Stellenrust were so perfect – it felt like an old hollywood movie set! We whisked them away for some couple portraits, which they totally nailed! In the theme of old hollywood, they looked gorgeous! Tami’s dark lip and Jody’s black suit just added to the drama of the photos that I loved, but they were so in love and so happy that the photos were light and cheerful as well.

Tami and Jody opened the dance floor with an EPIC first dance – they twirled and twisted and locked eyes across the dance floor, which made for such beautiful and romantic photos! Of course, once the dance floor opened, the guests could not hold back and everybody was up and dancing! It was such a fun day from start to finish and I look back on the photos with such warmth and love. Thank you Tami & Jody for allowing me to be there! <3
