Since their engagement session a few months ago, I had been looking forward to Tanya & Bevin’s special day! It was an absolutely beautiful day in February (almost a month ago!) at D’Aria in Durbanville, an old favourite venue of mine.

Tanya got ready in the cottages just up the road on the property and had her friends and bridesmaid help her get dressed. There was a definite excitement in the air as they laced up Tanya’s dress – Tanya kept saying how she wished they would finish faster so she could get going! We took some beautiful bridal portraits out on the small stoep and headed down for the ceremony

The forest is a huge draw for many engaged couples to book the venue and it’s not hard to see why! The gorgeous greenery surrounds the couple on a small cemented slab and the guests sit in amongst the trees to witness their friend say their “I dos!” After a celebratory throw of confetti, we headed back into the forest for the intimate couple photos. Both Tanya and Bevin claim not to be “photo people” – but just look how gorgeous they looked! It was totally easy to photograph them. The combination of a handsome groom, a beautiful bride and a stunning location made it easy to get all these great shots.

The reception was so relaxed and the speeches were full of touching tributes and personal memories of the couple. Loads of jokes and a ton of laughter seem to surround Tanya and Bevin wherever they go, I think their warm and happy personalities are just so infectious!

The day ended off with the live band taking over and playing a few songs and everybody just relaxing and enjoying each others company. A more perfect way to spend a Saturday, I can’t imagine!
