A family photoshoot on the beach is always a special and fun experience, especially with young children. The Van Rooyen and Marais family is one of my regular clients who love to capture their happy moments together each year. Naomi and her sister Wilmari started the tradition a few years ago, and this time we invited Ouma and Oupa to join in!

The beach provided a beautiful and natural backdrop for the family portraits, especially on this quiet morning. Each year, I strive to capture their family’s unique personalities and dynamics through a mix of candid and posed shots, the candid shots are especially important when photographing children. The result is always a collection of stunning images that they can treasure for years to come.

Children can be tricky to photograph at certain ages, but it’s always well worth doing it to capture their unique personalities as they grow and change.
