Best Photos of 2016
It is time to say farewell to 2016, and I took some time recently to reflect on my favourite images of the year.??Looking through my photos again to choose my favourites reminded me of all my amazing clients and all these incredible people I had the chance of meeting and working with. Choosing my favourite photos was so incredibly difficult because each shoot, each client and each photo is unique and I love them all in their own way – it was like asking a mother to choose her??favourite child! I chose a couple of images from each wedding, and maybe one or two from engagement sessions and other portrait sessions like family shoots or Matric Farewell shoots.
My business has grown tremendously and having a look at the actual numbers made this set in as a reality, and I only have YOU to thank, so THANK YOU! Thank you for believing in me and allowing me the creative freedom to capture the beauty of your special moments. I feel so lucky to be able to do a job I love, and to have people love my work as much as I love making it!
I also have to give a special mention to my assistant Kelly Anne – who has tirelessly worked on every wedding with me this year, who cheered me on when I was tired and showed enthusiasm for every beautiful detail I photographed. She is so much more than just an extra set of hands (and an extra brain) but a friend and somebody I’ve come to appreciate and cherish at every wedding!
To lovely couples who may be interested in booking me in 2017/18, I just have this to say: I am fiercely passionate about my job, and even more passionate about the people I get to work with.??I would love to capture??not only your wedding day, but the moments and the memories you will hold so dear. For me, it’s not about the biggest, or fanciest or most expensive weddings, but about the kindest, friendliest people I get to work with. I would love to work with you.
